Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lectureship

Jointly sponsored by the Auburn Alumni Association and the AU Graduate School, the Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lectureship Award carries with it a $2,000 award from the Alumni Association. The recipients are nominated by deans, department heads, etc. and chose by the Graduate Faculty Council on the basis of excellence in research.

Dr. Kimberly C. Walls, Music Education,
Dept. of Curriculum and Teaching.

Kimberly C. Walls is a professor and program coordinator of music education in Auburn University's Department of Curriculum and Teaching; her research specialty involves applications of technology in music learning. Walls designed and leads Auburn's innovative graduate distance-learning program for practicing music-education professionals. She has chaired the committees of 71 graduate students and served as graduate program officer for the Department of Curriculum and Teaching from 2004-08. She has been recognized by professional associations, has held numerous leadership positions and is a recipient of the College of Education's Emily and Gerald Leischuck Outstanding Graduate Faculty Teaching Award. Walls will give the Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lecture this fall and will be honored with a reception following the lecture.
