2009 MAIN Birmingham End-of-Summer Picnic

The rain held off, and Oak Mountain State Park provided a lovely
setting for more than 50 alumni and friends during the MAIN Birmingham
End-of-Summer Picnic sponsored by the Auburn Alumni Association (with
help from Dreamland BBQ) in August. The heat kept us under the pavilion,
but several of the children enjoyed a cool swim at the adjacent beach.
We played cards and gave away door prizes, plus held a drawing
for an Auburn cooler can and bean-bag chair.

Give back and support minority students now
Give Online

The Auburn Alumni Association sponsors 2 Alumni PLUS Scholarships through the Provost Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship (PLUS) program. The PLUS program is coordinated through the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and focuses on scholarship and retention of minority students. You can make donations to support the Alumni PLUS scholarships by sending your check, made payable to AUBURN UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION. In the memo line indicate ALUMNI PLUS SPENDABLE and send it to:

Auburn Alumni Association
Attn: Scholarships
317 S. College St. • Auburn, AL 36849

Why do you contribute to the Alumni PLUS Scholarship benefiting minority students?

“When I was an undergrad student, I received many scholarships from individual contributors in addition to grants that allowed me to graduate free of student loans. I often wondered what drove those contributors to donate to someone they didn't even know. Now, as an alumna, I believe that desire to give is fostered by a yearning sensation to see [our] Auburn scholars graduate and represent Auburn University well throughout the country. I have grabbed the baton of contributing to the educational development of current and future Auburn Tigers by donating to the PLUS fund. I challenge all alumni to do the same.”
