Expectations and Services Provided

Clubs:

Data: All chartered Auburn Clubs will have access to alumni and freshmen lists as often as requested (confidentiality agreements need to be on file).

Mailings: All chartered Auburn Clubs will receive one mailing per year to alumni/friends that meet the following requirements: have given to Auburn, have been involved in a club event, and/or have been a member of the alumni association in the last three years.

Emails: All chartered Auburn Clubs can request emails to be sent by the association for major events with two weeks (or more) notice.

Speakers/Representatives: The Auburn Alumni Association will cover the travel expenses of one speaker for a club event throughout the year. In addition to the speaker, the association will send a representative to one event throughout the year.

Promotional Items: All chartered Auburn Clubs will receive promotional items throughout the year for these three signature events: annual events, freshmen send offs and game watch parties.

Event Insurance: All chartered Auburn Clubs can request proof of insurance for their events throughout the year.

Innovation Grant: All chartered Auburn Clubs are eligible to apply and receive funds through the Auburn Club and Affiliate Innovation Grant.

Clubs Coordinator Support: All chartered Auburn Clubs have access to a designated Auburn Clubs Coordinator that is here to support you. Please communicate as regularly as needed and let us know how we can be of service to your club.

Website: All chartered Auburn Clubs are listed on the Auburn Alumni Association website. In addition to the club’s contact, we also advertise game watch party information, as well as club events on our calendar. All groups may also utilize the Clubs Portal for several resources.

Leadership: All chartered Auburn Clubs are required to have a designated Club President, as well as a Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Depending on the size of the club, one or more of these roles may be combined. It is encouraged to create additional volunteer experiences for members, such as committees, event-specific volunteers, and board members.

Scholarship: All chartered Auburn Clubs must have one scholarship established through the association, whether that is an endowment or annual scholarship. Groups are encouraged to establish both types of scholarships.

Training: A representative (or more) from all chartered Auburn Clubs is highly encouraged to attend Volunteer Leader Weekend (formerly Club Leader Conference), and additional training opportunities throughout the year.

Reporting: All chartered Auburn Clubs are required to submit attendance numbers and sign-in sheets (or registration lists), from all club programming throughout the year.

Events/Programs: All chartered Auburn Clubs are highly encouraged to participate in a wide variety of programming throughout the year. This includes athletic events, community service, events for students/parents, diverse alumni events, and more.

Branding: All chartered Auburn Clubs are required to comply with university brand standards and utilize the proper logo that has been designed on behalf of the club. To access your logo, visit the Auburn Clubs Portal on the website.

Governing Documents: All chartered Auburn Clubs are required to have a copy of bylaws on file with the association. Following the membership changes in Fall of 2023, an updated copy will be due to the association by March 31, 2024.

 

Affiliates:

Data: All Auburn Alumni Affiliates will have access to alumni and freshmen lists as often as requested (confidentiality agreements need to be on file).

Mailings: All Auburn Alumni Affiliates will receive one mailing per year to alumni/friends that meet the following requirements: have given to Auburn, have been involved in a club event, and/or have been a member of the alumni association in the last three years.
